Had a great week in the cottage.
Went to Alton Towers one day, Leek at the top of the Staffordshire Moorlands, walked in the Goyt Valley, part of the Churnet Valley Geotrail and enjoyed a walk and lunch at the Rambler's Retreat in Dimmingsdale.
Loads to do round here!
Great little cottage with a smashing woodburner.
Must come again!

We had a great time at Lavender Cottage and we were lucky with the weather!
The cottage was lovely, as described - the log fire was great!
We enjoyed sitting out the back in the sun early evening.
Would stay again.
Thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous little cottage! The cottage is amazing - we didn't want to come home at all!
We went to the Black Eyed Peas Concert. The concert was fantastic - it was so much better to be at a concert that was outdoors - although it was busy with people you felt like you had more space somehow - plus there was more room to dance!
We should like to go to Alton Towers for the Fireworks Display - so hopefully we will be there again!
The cottage was perfect, it was so cute and dainty. I've told my Mum she must stay there - she'd love it!
Thank you for letting us stay in the cottage, it's so lovely. We really didn't want to leave but thank you once again for everything and we hope to be visiting the cottage again soon.

The cottage was fantastic, everything we could need was there and absolutely
spotless. The big open fireplace was lovely. The kitchen was very well equipped.
Lots of great little touches that showed a lot of thought has gone into the comfort of
the guests. Pretty garden and patio area to sit out. The village was quiet and
peaceful but still offered shops and pubs for food. Lovely walks and a visit to Alton
Castle on the doorstep.
I would not hesitate to come back.
Thank you - a very enjoyable few days.

Lavender Cottage - a cosy, clean and welcoming venue. Perfect to use as a base for sightseeing and thrill seeking in the local area of Alton. We decided to stay here as we wished to spend a few days at Alton Towers, to experience the rides and excitement of the theme park, where neither of us had previously been.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had all the necessary facilities available for a self-catering holiday perfect for two. The garden is long, well kept and has a large portion of the days sunshine so relaxing with a cuppa and a book was great, depending on the weather of course!! The log fire was amazing and really created a homely glow and comfy atmosphere.
We would recommend this cottage to any couple wishing for a quiet, relaxing and refreshing break to enjoy each others company.
Thank you.

Lavender Cottage was a charming place to stay. We really enjoyed our visit and the wood burner made it all the more cosier! The surrounding area was extremely quiet with interesting history and local pubs and shops very close by.
Everything seemed to be supplied, so rather than a welcome pack, it was more like a shopping trolley! A really nice surprise!
Lavender Cottage was a great place to stay and we have already started to recommend to family and friends!

Lavender Cottage is such a charming home and very cosy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the weather was indeed marvellous.
We normally stay in Alton at the end of September so to see a bit of sun was rather a novelty!
Take care and thanks for all the personal touches!

We thought that the cottage was fantastic, really enjoyed our stay.
There was nothing that could really be improved on I don’t think. The only thing that I can think of is possibly mentioning to guests if there would be any milk/condiments etc in the cottage so these don’t need to be bought/brought.
A very minor thing, but the whole experience was great and have recommended to our friends.
Thanks again for the use of the cottage.

What a smashing little cottage. Everything you need and all in walking distance. Arrived in bad weather so it was great to just leave the car and enjoy the walks and pubs nearby.
